Amanda Vigue’s love affair with makeup began at the age of 4 when she was caught stealing lipstick from her grandmother’s purse. Her grandmother was in awe at how she could apply lipstick perfectly – without a mirror – an obvious indication that artistry was an innate talent of hers. Growing up she dabbled in painting and drawing until her parents allowed her to wear and play with makeup – which was her first love.

As the makeup artist in her emerged, she honed her skills by applying makeup on friends and family members first – immediately they recognized she had a knack for color and enhancing a person’s unique beauty. Inspired by the many clients she touched, she officially made the decision to go to school and pursue makeup as a full-time career.

In 2005, she attended and graduated from Make-Up Designory (MUD) in New York City, where she practiced her technique. Very early on in her career she landed a job at Sephora where she strengthened her knowledge on skin and on a variety of makeup brands. It was there where she mastered the art of makeup application and became known for creating a flawless face. Through assisting and personal work she has built a solid and versatile beauty portfolio.

Her work has appeared on TLC, BET, BRAVO, CBS, NuvoTV, Plus Model Magazine, USA Today, SHAPE and PEOPLE magazine. She has also collaborated with other makeup artists for several Mercedes Benz fashion week designers and shows.
